Our approach

EarKey is designed to work entirely on your Mac. It reads only the remote-control events from a supported wired headset, then posts the keyboard shortcuts you choose.

Information we do not collect

EarKey has no account, analytics, advertising, tracking, or network service. It does not record normal keyboard input, audio, conversations, or the content of other apps.

Your mappings

Your button mappings are stored locally on your Mac. They are not sent to us or shared with anyone.

Accessibility permission

EarKey asks for macOS Accessibility permission only so it can send the shortcuts you configure. You can revoke this permission at any time in System Settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
